Calling All Volunteers!
Are you looking for ways to get involved and give back to your community?
As a State Assemblymember, it is my duty to provide important services to local residents and to make sure that your voices are heard on statewide issues. When representing nearly 500,000 people in such a unique and diverse district, this can be quite a challenge and I need all the help I can get! My district offices in Oxnard and Camarillo are always looking to grow our team of community volunteers to help us provide the best assistance possible to constituents.
District office volunteers might be asked to assist in the following ways:
Active involvement in monitoring district and state issues, current events and relevant legislation
Help organize community events and assist staff at events
Research and respond to constituent inquiries and community issues
Assist with and maintain office procedures, routine correspondence, telephone inquiries and special projects
Other office needs that pop up.
Whether you are interested in learning about the legislative process, want to add volunteer hours to your resume, or recently retired and looking for a way to put your skills to good use we would love to have you work with our office! Volunteers perform many of the same tasks as interns, but this is a better option for those who may not have the ability or interest to dedicate the 12+ hours for the internship program.
If you are interested in volunteering, please fill out the online form below and our office will contact you regarding your schedule and upcoming volunteer opportunities!
