SACRAMENTO — Assemblymember Laura Friedman (D-Glendale) has introduced legislation (Assembly Bill 2026) that aims to reduce single-use plastic packaging used in the e-commerce marketplace. The bill will phase out certain single-use plastic packaging that is often added to goods for shipment of e-commerce purchases.
On Wednesday, September 29th, Assemblymember Laura Friedman (D-Glendale), Mayor Eric Garcetti (Los Angeles), Councilmember Nithya Raman (Council District 4), Councilmember Mitch O’Farrell (Council District 13), Mayor Paula Devine (Glendale), Councilmember Ara Najarian (Glendale), and other local leaders will hold a press conference unveiling over $15 million in funding secured by Assemblymember Friedman for Los Angeles and Glendale’s active transportation infrastructure.
The press conference will describe the joint efforts between the State of California, Los Angeles, and Glendale to improve regional interconnectivity between neighboring cities and their amenities such as Griffith Park.
