Assemblymember Friedman Introduces Bill to Reduce Traffic Fatalities

SACRAMENTO — Assemblymember Laura Friedman (D-Glendale) has announced Assembly Bill 2336, which aims to significantly reduce traffic fatalities in the State of California by authorizing cities to use a proven tool to cut down on speeding: speed safety cameras.

On Wednesday, September 29th, Assemblymember Laura Friedman (D-Glendale), Mayor Eric Garcetti (Los Angeles), Councilmember Nithya Raman (Council District 4), Councilmember Mitch O’Farrell (Council District 13), Mayor Paula Devine (Glendale), Councilmember Ara Najarian (Glendale), and other local leaders will hold a press conference unveiling over $15 million in funding secured by Assemblymember Friedman for Los Angeles and Glendale’s active transportation infrastructure.

The press conference will describe the joint efforts between the State of California, Los Angeles, and Glendale to improve regional interconnectivity between neighboring cities and their amenities such as Griffith Park.
