These powerful women are doing amazing work!
Olympics
As the Olympics wind down, I wanted to congratulate all of our athletes. Watching you shine is such an honor. You make us all proud. And to my constituent Ben Hallock of Studio City, I hope you crush it tomorrow!
Car Seat Safety
As a parent, there is no greater concern when driving than making sure your children are safe. Thank you CHP - Altadena and First 5 California for partnering with my office to inspect and install baby and booster seats. We made fifty children safer while driving!
Black Women's Equal Pay Day
Today is Black Women’s Equal Pay Day. This day is meant to remind us that black women earn just $0.69 for every dollar earned by a white man. Equity & opportunity for black women are directly linked to pay equity. We must close the gap.

Transit Champion of the Year
It’s an incredible honor to be named Transit Champion of the Year by the West Side Democrats. The Westies honor Democrats from West Los Angeles whose policies promote equity, affordability, and sustainability. I was in amazing company.
Honoring Willie Brown Jr.
Willie Brown Jr was born in segregated Texas, but it was to California that he gave his service. Willie Brown was Mayor of San Francisco and the longest serving speaking of the California Assembly. He's 90 years old today. I was honored to join the California Assembly in honoring his legendary life and career!
