Assemblymember Laura Friedman Secures Nearly a Million Dollars for Discovery Cube LA’s STEM Walk and Ride Trail
Discovery Cube LA is one of California’s premier science museums, seeing 1.6 million visitors annually. Discovery Cube LA, situated at the picturesque edge of Hansen Dam, is expanding its newest STEM project to the great outdoors. Assemblymember Friedman secured $933,000 in the 2023-24 State Budget to assist Discovery Cube in turning its Walk and Ride Project into reality. This money will be used to build two trails, a bike trail and a walking trail, featuring exhibits on environmental stewardship, nature, migrating butterflies, animal fossils, the landscape, and a fleet of bicycles so that everyone can partake of both trails. Discovery Cube’s Walk and Ride Trails will be a unique mix of ecology, watershed science, Earth science, geology, and archaeology. Join Assemblymember Laura Friedman and CEO of Discovery Cube, Joe Adams, for the check presentation for Discovery Cube Los Angeles.
