Toluca Lake is a quiet, thriving, and neighborly portion of my district. It is also the historic home of show business legends and film studios. Happy 100th Anniversary, Toluca Lake!

As homelessness has increased, so has the number of people now calling RVs home. By the latest count, 11,000 people live in RVs across Los Angeles. While RVs can provide critical shelter to those truly on the margins, they can clog sidewalks and roadways, endangering the commuting public. Frequently dilapidated and unsafely parked RVs should never have to be home. Los Angeles’ RV buyback and disposal program is a transition program that will engage residents living in RVs, identify and secure interim shelter and housing for those living in the RVs, while adequately compensating them for and disposing of their RV. Assemblymember Friedman secured $600,000 in the 2023-24 State Budget to ensure this program has the funds it needs.

The Armenian Community is the heart of our community. I’m so glad to have been able to secure $100,000 to ensure that the Burbank Armenian Youth Center has an upgraded security system and a brand-new roof for the future installation of solar panels.

I honor those who serve and have served in our nation’s military. Thank you for your service! And thank you to Mickey DePalo and the Burbank Veterans Affairs Committee for all that you do for our community’s veterans.

Toluca Lake is a famous and historic portion of the district. The Assemblymember is met with members of the Residents Association and nearby constituents.

Congratulations Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters on another year of Camp Bob Waldorf!

Each year more than 1200 youth from the Greater Los Angeles area participate in one of Camp Bob Waldorf’s summer or weekend camp programs.

Activities and experiences are grounded in four important values – Community, Inclusion, Identity, and Respect – which campers put into practice each day while they learn new skills, develop their interests and make lasting memories.

Camp Bob Waldorf is nestled on 112 acres in the Verdugo Hills of Glendale, just 15 miles from Downtown Los Angeles.

Congratulations to this year's Warriors for Justice nominees and awardees! The work you do is critically important.

The Center for Truth and Justice is group of lawyers overseeing the collection of firsthand testimonial evidence from war survivors via in-depth, recorded interviews. They run two law clinics, one in Armenia and one in Nagorno-Karabakh, which are the first of their kind. Through their clinics, they train Armenian law students and young lawyers to interview survivors of the war and record their testimonies. By being a permanent home for the testimonials, CFTJ serves as a resource to academic and legal practitioners who seek to use the evidence for purposes of education and/or legal action.
