SACRAMENTO – On Tuesday, the California State Assembly passed legislation introduced by Assemblymember Laura Friedman (D-Glendale) implementing a statewide prohibition on the sale and transfer of new fur products in California.  The measure, Assembly Bill 44, would make California the first state in the nation to ban the sale or transfer of fur.

SACRAMENTO – On Wednesday, a bill by Assemblymember Laura Friedman (D-Glendale) that extends the period that landlords must give rent increase notices to tenants of month-to-month units passed the Assembly Floor. The measure, AB 1110, would expand the notification requirement to 90 days for rent increases between 10-15%, and 120 days if the increase is higher than 15%.

SACRAMENTO – Yesterday, the California State Assembly passed legislation put forward by Assemblymember Laura Friedman (D-Glendale) that will bring growth and opportunity to the area surrounding the San Fernando Valley’s Orange Line.
